New COVID 19 clinical cleanliness apprenticeships and training modules available

The UK Housekeepers’ Association (UKHA) has announced the launch of a new ‘Housekeeping COVID-19 Secure Standard’, developed through a strategic partnership with Umbrella Training.

The standard has been designed to provide an industry-wide approach to cleaning, offering a clear process for housekeepers and accommodation managers to follow - in line with Government guidelines. As Europe’s largest Housekeepers’ Association, the UKHA is working closely with Umbrella Training to develop a wide-ranging programme of training and support mechanisms.

Apprenticeships

Umbrella Training have added newly revised Clinical Cleanliness modules to the hospitality suite of apprenticeships to support businesses with looming skill shortages and emerging training needs.

In light of the pandemic and its recent impact on the hospitality sector, Umbrella Training have worked with industry professionals to create these modules that will support all roles in any hospitality business and create firm understanding of the new world of viral control and prevention.

These are fully funded and available to all members across England who have an apprenticeship levy or smaller businesses who would like to access SME apprenticeships funds.
