Apprentice case study with Valentina Simiciuc of Park Tower Knightsbridge Hotel

There is always room for improvement and knowledge…

I chose to take the Hospitality Manager Level 4 apprenticeship for three main reasons: it will enable me to work within an industry that I am passionate about; the programme will allow me to learn a huge amount whilst developing new skills and qualities; Umbrella Training is an organization that has a brilliant reputation and I feel very proud being a part of their team.

Although I have eight years work experience to date, I feel I am mature, and I understand that the apprenticeship will only be successful if I put in the hard work and learn and develop as my time here progresses.

There is no way I would just sit back and do the bare minimum during this apprenticeship. If you give me the opportunity, I will study hard, work to a brilliant standard and also be on the constant look out for learning new skills and developing the right qualities to become a reliant and trustworthy employee for the company.

Being an apprentice for the second time in a row has been the best time of my life, I've been able to do things that I'm passionate about. I've been able to meet so many different people. I've built up my confidence. It's been the best experience it could have been and my manager in whom I have always seen as a mentor offered his unlimited support

“Unlimit your thoughts and you will be able to move mountains”

Firstly our teacher...Will is an amazing teacher. He has the passion, knowledge and dedication for his courses. He explains everything to us and is supportive and helps build our knowledge step by step. We don't have enough words to express the gratitude for what he has done for us so far.

I can’t really discover my hidden talent because talent isn’t really something you’re born with, but something you develop over time.

The best memory that I have from the first time I have started l my Level 3 apprenticeship is that after three months I got promoted from supervisor position to a senior position which made me very happy and boosted my confidence.
